CMSVG+ 26 Project and VIP

Morning! One of my favourite things about card making is finding a technique that looks really impressive, but is actually much easier than it appears. It's almost like an extra win to the already awesome process of making an already amazing card! That's exactly why I'm so excited about the workshop I'll be teaching at the Card Making with SVGs+ Summit next week. π My project is a fun Birthday Cake Card that combines several of my favourite things: β¨ SVG card making What I love most about this card is how versatile and super flexible it is. You can completely change the look just by swapping out your patterned papers, changing the colours, or using different sentiments. It's also the kind of project that makes great use of those patterned cardstock scraps you've been saving "for something special" all these years. (Please tell me I'm not the only one with a collection of those! π ) One of my favourite techniques in this workshop is creating your own custom embossed background using a stencil you've cut yourself with your Cricut. The result looks absolutely beautiful, adds incredible texture to your cards, and opens up so many possibilities for future projects too. Even better? Once you've learned the technique, you can use it again and again on birthday cards, holiday cards, thank you cards, and pretty much anything else you can dream up.
