ICYMI: Hidden Mug Designs & Templates
|
Morning! I have really been trying hard lately to share more on Facebook, because I have SO MUCH super fun free content, and I know you will love learning from it. But it is all just sitting here gathering dust because I never talk about it Recently, I had two posts get a lot of attention, so I thought I should share them here with you too, because I can see why they are so popular! Hidden Mug DesignsI love making mugs, but I really don't like the white space around the handles - it's just too.... boring So I thought: why can't we "use" this white space in our design?! So in this tutorial, you will learn how to create designs that USE the white space to your advantage, and create a fun hidden design in space that would otherwise just be purposeless. I've used this technique so many times to create cats, mermaids, trees, snowmen - it works so nicely for so many different images! And I don't often use an oven to make my mugs, so this technique is perfect for you, even if you have a Cricut Mugpress (which is what I use the majority of the time!) Honestly, this is one of my all-time favourite projects I have ever done - and I cannot wait to see what designs you come up with!
And if you haven't already, make sure to follow me on Facebook, because I am working hard on sharing more and more every single day! Waste Less Sticker MaterialI know you have probably heard me say this a million times - but please DO NOT let Cricut optimise your Print Then Cut pages for you!! Their logic is really not all that logical, and you will waste so much valuable real estate on your printable material if you let them I love using a template for my Print Then Cut projects - and I genuinely use it for just about every single project I make - it's THAT useful and easy to do. In this YouTube video, I talk about how I use my template to optimise my space so that I don't waste that valuable real estate, or lose my projects! I know, it is a bit of an older video, and there is a bit of chatter there that might be largely irrelevant today - but you can just skip past it (or listen to me natter on, as I often hear how much you love my accent - which I so so appreciate ) I also share a template resource in the video, that you can grab here instead. For my South Africans!!I also wanted to share that I FINALLY managed to get my consumable bundles up on my website for you to grab! There are 8 bundles in total at the moment, at pretty awesome discounts with a nice variety of items for you to play with Some of the items included are no longer available on the market - so definitely check that out! Unfortunately, due to international shipping costs, physical sales are only open to South African Residents :( I have also added many of the Crochet Gym Buddies I have been making for the entire year so far. They get the name because the one thing that has been keeping me accountable at the gym is my love for audiobooks and crocheting while on the treadmill. It's surprisingly easy when you don't have to worry about tripping over stones (or potholes), and the pace stays the same. I have managed to Crochet up a small army of cows, turtles, dragons, octos - but they are overtaking my house at this point - so they need some new homes!! If you are from South Africa and want to hear about other promotions, events and sales I may run in the future, click here so I can mark you as a South African! Thanks for listening to me ramble! Im busy putting together some fun livestreams for the rest of the year, so cant wait to share more And remember - be kind to someone today! See you soon! Kelly P.S. If you use Print Then Cut often, and run into problems that frustrate you and make you not want to use Print Then Cut anymore - check out my Print Then Cut Problem Solving Guide. It has over 60 solutions for your Print Then Cut problems that occur at any stage of the process. It would have been a life-saving resource for me while I was learning how to use it, so I am sure you will benefit from it. |
