Last week filled my creative cup, and now to get excited for this 🌿

Morning!

I just wanted to send a little note today because I have been feeling so incredibly grateful after Crafting Safari last week 💚

After the super fun we had a week ago on the Crafting Safari, I have been left with so much gratitude in my heart, and so glad I got to craft some super fun things - and FINALLY use up some more of my stash!

Every time one of these events wraps up, I come away feeling so inspired, but this one especially reminded me just how creative and talented this community is.

Seeing everyone’s projects, excitement, questions, experimentation, and willingness to try new things honestly fuelled me so much. Sometimes when you work online (and alone in my room), it can feel a little isolating behind the scenes, so getting to see everyone creating together and enjoying the event in real time was such a lovely reminder of why I love doing this so much!

Not to mention the fact that we raised over $6 000 for Panthera Africa - I am STILLL speechless!!!! Your generosity is unparalleled.

I saw so many creative ideas and fun twists on projects, and it genuinely left me feeling so excited for all the upcoming events we have planned for this year.

While I already have ideas for fun events going forward, other INCREDIBLY talented friends of mine have their incredible free events for you to enjoy in the meantime!

One that I personally look forward to every single year is Abbi Kirsten’s Flowerfest 🌸

You may already know how much I love paper flowers, and Abbi’s events are always some of my absolute favourites to participate in. Her teaching style is so calming and approachable, and every year I end up making flowers I never would have thought I could create.

Her tiger lily tutorial is STILL my favourite flower project I’ve ever made 😅 (and one I will continue to make more of in the future haha)

Flowerfest officially starts on the 4th of June, which is somehow only a few days away now?! And if you haven’t signed up for the free event yet, you absolutely should.

This year includes:
🌿 19+ paper flower workshops
🌸 Beginner-friendly projects and more advanced flowers
✂️ Cricut-friendly and hand-cutting options
💐 Flower arranging tutorials and creative techniques

It is honestly such a fun, creative escape, and one of those events that always leaves me wanting to make “just one more flower” 😂 until I realise OOPS its 2am haha (can you relate?)

I’m also really excited because next week I’m planning to do a livestream where we use up some more of my handmade paper stash and create some fun monstera leaves together, which is one of the projects featured inside Flowerfest this year 🌿

I thought it would be such a fun way to get excited for the event together, and honestly, I’ve been wanting an excuse to use more of my handmade paper because I can see how fun (and challenging...?) it's going to be to use 😅

I cannot wait to see what everyone creates during Flowerfest this year. These events always remind me how important creativity, community, and making time for joy really are.

Thank you so much for being part of all of this. It makes my heart so so happy 💚

And remember - be kind to someone today!

See you soon!

Kelly

P.S. Even if you’ve never made a paper flower before, Flowerfest is one of the best places to start. Abbi explains everything so clearly, and it’s such a relaxing style of crafting 🌸
